We recently had the opportunity to try out Planet Hollywood's Drinks Are On Us program. The deal -- which gets you a free bottle of premium liquor with your room stay at the hot Vegas resort -- seems to good to be true. Like you, we had our questions. Is this generic booze? Are these single serve bottles? Is it really free?

The answers are (drumroll please)...no, it's not generic booze. The bottles are a full 750 ml. Yes, it's really free. 

Here's how it works. When you check in at the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort, you get a ticket. Take this ticket to the gift shop, which is probably about twenty or thirty steps from where you checked in. At the gift shop, you are handed a card which has the Drinks Are On Us menu. We picked the Skyy Vodka and the other party we were with selected Cruzan Light Room. Other choices include wine, champagne, whiskey, and tequila.

Granted, Planet Hollywood isn't giving away bottles of Grey Goose. But the Drinks Are On Us promo was free and easy -- a nice perk for staying at one of the hippest spots on the strip.
