There's a little trick some Las Vegas casino hotels are using to charge you more for your room stay. It's called the resort fee. Resort fees are mandatory charges that are placed on your bill, over and above your room rate. These fees generally do not show up in the published room rate when you are searching on an online travel booking engine. You might see them as a separate line item on the confirmation screen, or you might be surprised to find them on your hotel bill upon checkout. Las Vegas hotel resort fees can range up to $20 or more per night. Worse, you also have to pay the 12 percent county room tax on top of the resort fee. In other words, a $20 Las Vegas hotel resort fee actually costs you $22.40 per night. While there are amenities associated with the resort fee, you do not have the option to opt-out of amenities you don't want. Below is a list of Las Vegas Strip hotels that do charge resort fees.
